FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
You will need a valid Washington State Freshwater or Combination Fishing License. If we are fishing for Salmon or Steelhead, you will need to have a Catch Record Card. Bring clothing for rain or shine. Sometimes our weather can be unpredictable so you will want to dress appropriately. I always recommend dressing in layers. Bring any food or drink you would like. It is recommended that you keep a cooler in your vehicle to keep your catch fresh for the drive home.
You will need a current Washington Freshwater, Combination or Fish Washington license. If we are targeting Salmon or Steelhead (not Kokanee) you will need a current Catch Record Card. Kids 14 and under do not need a license, but they will need a Catch Record Card if fishing for Salmon, Steelhead or Sturgeon. Licenses can be purchased at most sporting goods stores and large retailers. More info can be found out at https://wdfw.wa.gov/licenses/fishing. Of course, feel free to reach out to me and I can let you know which licenses you will need and where to buy.
FYI if buying online, you may not get your Catch Record Card in time for our trip. In that case I recommend buying from a dealer as you must have a physical copy to fish for and retain Salmon, Steelhead or Sturgeon.
A $150 deposit is required for all trips and is non-refundable. This is included in the total cost of the trip. For example, if you booked a Sockeye trip priced at $250 per person for 2 people ($500), you would pay $150 now and the rest ($350) the day of the trip. I can take deposit payments by card. If for some reason I have to cancel the trip due to closures, weather, poor fishing conditions or unforeseen circumstances then I will either refund your deposit in full or if you prefer, I will reschedule you to the next available date that works best for you.
Exact locations and Time can vary. I will reach out a few days prior to our trip with exact location, time and any other details. I understand this can be frustrating at times not knowing the exact meet-up details right away, but fishing is always an evolving situation that changes from day to day, and I do my absolute best to give my clients the best fishing experience.
During Sockeye season when fishing is excellent, I may offer mid-morning/afternoon trips that take place after I complete my 1st trip for that day. Typically, we limit early, and I shoot for a 9am start on these second trips. However, that is dependent on what time my first trip is done for the day. If you book a 2nd trip, we will be in constant contact throughout the morning.
The best place will be Facebook at facebook.com/torreyssportfishingadventures and other social media. I am always posting updates on there. Also feel free to call me at 425-345-6232.
